The NET INNOVATORS pavilion will make its debut at Macworld Expo/San Francisco January 5 - 8, 1999. It will be managed by Xplain Custom Services and located next to Developer Central in the North Hall of the Moscone Convention Center.

Apple Developer Connection and NetProfessional are the proud co-sponsors of the new Net Innovators area -- just as Apple and MacTech Magazine have successfully done for Developer Central(tm) for years. This sponsorship includes support, PR and advertising that will focus light on the new Net Innovators area.

A brief history -- back in 1994, Apple and MacTech came to [then] MHA with the concept of Developer Central. The idea is that the vendors in the Mac developer tool community would never be able to make it to the show floor on their own (in bulk). Instead, for the benefit of the platform and MHA, Apple and MacTech put together a showcase focused on developers that has since become one of the longest running successful pavilions at Macworld Expo. Today, Developer Central is showcased several times a year at Macworld Expo and other venues.

MACWORLD Expo/San Francisco is the West Coast's premiere Macintosh event. Macworld Expo conferences are host to the best minds in the computer industry. At Macworld Expo's conferences visionary thinkers, accomplished educators and innovative practitioners come together to advance the state of the art in the Macintosh industry.

As the Internet has come into its own, there have been a number of new vendors coming on the scene. The current situation for Internet tool/service companies is there are some that are show casing their wares -- but unfortunately, without a centralized location, many get "lost in the crowd" of products (most have which having nothing to do with the Internet or networks).

Net Innovators was born out of necessity and experience. Additionally, your vital feedback, months of researching, analyzing, and negotiating with IDG Expos and Apple Computer played a significant part.
